2018 ADPG Awards - Entries Open

Entries open from Monday 13 August

The Australian Production Design Guild (APDG) has announced that entries are open for the 2018 APDG Awards.  

President George Liddle APDG says, ‘We’re delighted that we have the inclusion of new award categories this year and look forward to receiving more high quality work across the various design fields and categories in 2018’.

The Awards ceremony will be held later in the year in Sydney at the historic and unique Eternity Playhouse, Darlinghurst on Sunday 16 December.

The APDG Awards is an annual event that celebrates the work and achievements of the myriad of talents of design professionals from the Australian film, television, stage and interactive multimedia industries who have created and designed with collaborators over the past year.

This year there are 9 new categories including:

• Excellence in live performance - Acknowledging Excellence in Design and Practice on international productions

• Excellence in screen - Acknowledging Excellence in Design and Practice on international production

• Costume Design on a web series

• Design for an interactive or experiential game

2018 APDG Awards Ceremony Sunday December 16 2018

Award applicants must be financial APDG members. Membership details available here.

Work submitted to the Awards must have been broadcast, screened or performed for the first time in the Australian financial year beginning 1st July 2017 and ending 30th June 2018.

The APDG also presents another four awards at the discretion of the Judging Committee.

These awards cannot be entered.

3. Cameron Creswell Award Outstanding Contribution to Design - awarded via panel

4. Thelma Afford Award - - awarded via panel
