American Idiot at Chapel Off Chapel

Following the 2022 Victorian premiere of Freaky Friday, new musical theatre company Theatrical presents their production of the two time Tony Award winning musical, American Idiot.

The Chapel Off Chapel production features music by five-time Grammy Award winning rock band Green Day, with the book and lyrics written by lead vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong, alongside Tony Award winning director and co-writer Michael Mayer.

Seeing the Hayes Theatre Co production of Big Fish in 2017 was a transformative moment for the musical theatre performer, so much so that Dylan has been determined to one day direct a production of the show herself.

The third play of Heidelberg Theatre Company’s 2022 season is Barefoot in the Park by Neil Simon, directed by Llaaneath Poor.

Llaaneath has been a member of Heidelberg Theatre Company virtually since birth, and is a second-generation director. Having worked on and behind the HTC stage several times, more recently she has enjoyed working as a director for the Company (Crossing Delancey in 2018).
