Immersive Horror Experience for Perth

Immersive Horror Experience for Perth

It’s a creepy immersive experience coming this June.

A creepy realistic horror experience is about to hit Perth.

Presented by Dark Psychic Productions at Memorial Hall’s The Round Room, Confession is an immersive horror experience that promises to leave the audience questioning what lengths they would go to for survival. Featuring an original story that will change each night as the actors are subjected to different situations throughout the performance whilst continuing the narrative.

This scare fest brings light, sound, visual, smell and feel together in this 45 minute story of what it is like to live with a secret in a post-apocalyptic world.

The show features local actors Kate Lloyd, Ryan S McNally, Devetta Ridgwell, Zack Inglis and Pat McMahon. McNally produces the project as part of his company Dark Psychic Productions and McMahon has taken the mentor role for the actors to assist in building the show and also providing direction.

“This is something completely different. We wanted to make the audience feel what the characters are feeling as the situations unfold around them,” producer and actorRyan S. McNally said.

“I was extremely lucky to be asked to be a part of this original concept, and I have previously worked with the very talented team at Dark Psychic Productions. The mysterious nature of this show and its characters intrigued me and being able to contribute to both of those aspects was a huge draw-card,”  Lloyd added.

“Audiences can expect to experience the suspense of Alfred Hitchcock combined with the interaction of a 3D movie. Hopefully audiences will hold their breath a little waiting to see what happens next” said Ridgwell.

“A dark and gritty zombie story sounded like my cup of tea. It's something explored throughout film and television, and makes so much sense to me, to put that into a theatrical format, that feels so personal,” added Inglis.

The main challenge, according to McMahon, is not only taking on the mentors’ seat but also how dark the room will be. “It will be hard not to jump at the things that go bump in the night.”

McNally added, “You can’t prepare for rehearsals because new information comes to light each time we get together and each scene is played slightly different. Every actor has had a say in the depth of each character and also the overall arc of the story. We are given new information each rehearsal and we get to choose if it is something we divulge or if it provides us motivation through the story’
