Mike Fletcher is Fagin at Frankston

PLOS Musical Productions welcomes popular performer Mike Fletcher back to the Frankston Arts Centre stage for their June 2014 season of Oliver! in the role of Fagin.

Mike’s previous roles with the company include Patsy, the noble King’s assistant in Monty Python’s Spamalot (pictured below) where his cameo as the gaol guard was recognized with a Victorian Musical Theatre Bruce Award.

In last year’s Little Shop of Horrors, Stage Whispers reviewer Coral Drouyn praised both Mike’s impressive portrayal of Mushnik (pictured top) and his stunning set design and construction for the show. Link to review.

Another audience favourite was his performance of the MC in Cabaret.

Mike is once again enjoying the challenge of bringing to the stage a character with many facets and making the role his very own. He is particularly enjoying the interaction the role has with the 22 children making up Fagin’s gang. He is thrilled to once again team up on stage with Cameron Sweatman who plays Sykes in the production.

PLOS Musical Productions season of Oliver! opens on Friday 20 June 2014 at the Frankston Arts Centre. Tickets now on sale via PLOS Musical Productions website www.plos.asn.au or 97841060.
