Millie Promises Brisbane Jazz, Intrigue and Toe-tapping Fun.

Savoyards Musical Comedy Society Inc.(Qld) presents Thoroughly Modern Millie from Saturday 31 May to Saturday 14 June, 2014, for eight performances only, at Iona Performing Arts Centre.

Based on the popular movie, the stage version of Thoroughly Modern Millie includes a full score of new songs and bright dance numbers.

Set in New York City in 1922, Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz - a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behaviour were changing forever.

Thoroughly Modern Millie features frisky flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady of and a villainess audiences will love to hate.

Performances take place at the Iona Performing Arts Centre in Wynnum, Brisbane, from Saturday 31 May to Saturday 14 June, 2014. Tickets can be purchased now on the Savoyards website, www.savoyards.com.au or by phoning (07) 3893 4321.
