LIGHTS UP ON THE ARTS [HOME DELIVERY]

James Cutler and Joshua Robson Productions have announced a special online concert which will shine a light on the Australian musical theatre industry and support performers whose livelihoods have been impacted by the COVID-19 arts shutdown. LIGHTS UP ON THE ARTS [HOME DELIVERY] will be held on Monday 11 May from 7pm.

Sole Sessions Launches Online with Daniel Assetta in Songs Unsung

With audiences and artists in lockdown and shows cancelled everywhere, SOLE SESSIONS aims to ease the feeling of isolation by bringing Australian live entertainment into homes across the country and around the world.

Featuring performances recorded in isolation during the global Coronavirus pandemic, the first SOLE SESSION will take place on Saturday 18 April and star Daniel Assetta in SONGS UNSUNG, which was originally to be performed at Sydney’s Claire’s Kitchen in May.

St John Passion Digitally Reimagined by Sydney Philharmonia

Sydney Philharmonia Choirs couldn't let the Easter weekend pass without a moment to share the glory and beauty of Bach's St John Passion. The Choirs had originally intended to perform this piece at Sydney Town Hall on Easter Saturday, but as the Covid-19 pandemic forced us all into isolation, they started working towards a plan to record a section for digital release this weekend instead.

37th Annual Green Room Awards

With the onslaught of COVID-19 and the mass shutdown of public events across Australia, including Melbourne's planned Green Room Awards Ceremony on the 30th of March, the Green Room Awards Association held its first-ever Online Awards Presentation on the 6th of April, 2020. 

2020 Helpmann Awards Cancelled

Live Performance Australia (LPA) has today announced with deep regret the annual Helpmann Awards will not be presented in 2020.

The decision to cancel this year’s presentation is in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency and its impact on live performance venues and productions across the country.

“Due to restrictions on public gatherings, it was simply not feasible to proceed with our planning for the 2020 Helpmann Awards,” said LPA Chief Executive Evelyn Richardson.

Green Room Awards Ceremony Goes Ahead Online

With the onslaught of COVID-19 and the mass shutdown of public events across Victoria and the country, including the planned Green Room Awards Ceremony on the 30th of March, the Green Room Awards Association has announced details of its first-ever Online Awards Presentation from 7pm on the 6th of April, 2020.
