Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will resume performances on 25th February 2021, after a hiatus of 49 weeks. The production suspended a record-breaking run at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre after public health measures were imposed by the government due to COVID 19.

This year’s Alan Edwards Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to actor Kate Foy, or as she is known on stage, Kate Wilson. Wilson has enjoyed a major career as an actor working in theatre in Queensland for La Boite, Twelfth Night, Metro Arts, but mostly Queensland Theatre, where she has appeared in 33 productions as well as writing, directing and teaching for the company.

Griffin Theatre Company’s Artistic Director Declan Green has announced the company’s 2021 season.
“When I started as Artistic Director, I imagined I’d introduce you to my first season while bragging about all Griffin’s triumphs during 2020,” Green said. “Flash forward 12 months, and I’m just happy I’m not announcing the theatre was recently eaten by locusts.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Jonathan Larson’s multiple Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning sensation will be coming to the Sydney Opera House Drama Theatre from 27 December 2020 to 31 January 2021.
