Debra Byrne Gives Sydney Concert

Debra Byrne Gives Sydney Concert

Debra Byrne, an Australian icon with more than thirty years in the spotlight, is a true example of survival. Debra Byrne is now RIPE and ready to take to the Sydney concert stage after an absence of over twenty years.

RIPE will showcase the most memorable moments from Debra’s career in the theatre, whilst embracing songs from all over the globe.

Currently starring as The Bird Woman in Disney’s enormously successful stage production of Mary Poppins, Debra’s name has topped the marquee of many hit musicals including Cats, Les Miserables, Jerry’s Girls and Sunset Boulevard beside Hugh Jackman. Her reputation as an outstanding vocalist has been household knowledge in Australia since her TV beginnings with Young Talent Time where she performed for four years from the age of twelve. After Young Talent Time, she moved to a recording career and had hits with He's a Rebel and Da Doo Run Run. During this time she also won the Australian Queen of Pop Award for two consecutive years.

Increasingly recognised for her dramatic talent, Debra has appeared in guest roles for top-rating TV dramas including GP, Police Rescue, Law of the Land, the ABC series Naked, The Secret Life of Us and City Homicide, as well as starring in the feature film Rebel opposite Matt Dillon.

Over the past four years Debra has performed for The Production Company as Sally Durant Plummer in Follies, Belle Poitrine in Little Me and Muzzie in Thoroughly Modern Millie, and for the State Theatre Company of South Australia in Metro Street in Adelaide and Korea.

Don't miss this rare opportunity to experience one of the world’s most talented singers in an intimate setting.
