The Canterbury Tales Updated by 600 Years

A team of young theatre makers is turning Geoffrey Chaucer’s comedic masterpiece into a “rollicking, surreal and thought provoking night of entertainment.”

This new interpretation of  The Canterbury Tales is half medieval and half community TV talent quest.

Grey’s Lobotomy: A New Australian Musical Comedy

Grey’s Lobotomy, a new musical comedy about the Australian health system by Xavier Brouwer, opens at the Alex Theatre, St Kilda on Wednesday 8 July, playing until Sunday 26 July 2015.

Anything Goes for Caroline

Australia’s international triple threat Caroline O’Connor has returned to star in the John Frost / Opera Australia production of Anything Goes. She spoke to Neil Litchfield ahead of rehearsals.

Caroline O’Connor’s earliest stage experience included performing imitations of Ethel Merman for her dog. Now she’s about to play one of Merman’s great roles, Reno Sweeney, in the new Australian production of Anything Goes.

Nominees for the 2015 Helpmann Awards were announced at simultaneous events in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, and Hobart on June 22, 2015 by some of Australia’s biggest names of the performing arts sector, including Caroline O’Connor, Simon Gleeson, Wesley Enoch, Annette Downs, Michael Griffiths, and Suzie Mather.
