Long Tan Receives Sensory Theatrical Staging

Stories from Australia’s most significant battle of the Vietnam War will be told in the world premiere staging of Long Tan, an aural and sensory theatre experience. 

Adelaide’s Brink Productions (Aspirations of Daise Morrow, When the Rain Stops Falling), in association with State Theatre Company of SA & Adelaide Festival Centre,will create this theatrical event from a semi-verbatim text by award-winning playwright Verity Laughton.

PARIS - A Rock Odyssey – In Concert

Music Theatre Melbourne’s new concert production of Australian rock musical PARIS pays homage to one of Australia’s great performers, Jon English.

John Waters (Ulysses) and Ben Mingay (Achilles) head the cast (which also includes Kerrie Anne Greenland (Cassandra), Matthew Manahan (Paris), and Madeleine Featherby (Helen), that will bring this epic show - co-written by Jon English and music producer David Mackay - to life for just four performances 13- 15 July 2017 at Melbourne Recital Centre.

2017 Green Room Awards Nominations

The Green Room Awards Association has announced the nominees for the 2017 Green Room Awards, which will be held at Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre on Monday 27 March. 

Melbourne’s premier peer-presented, performing arts industry awards recognise excellence and innovation across a range of categories, including Cabaret, Contemporary and Experimental Performance, Dance, Independent Theatre, Music Theatre, Opera and Theatre Companies.

The Bodyguard - Full Cast Announced

Producers Michael Harrison, David Ian and John Frost have announced that the Melbourne season of the musical THE BODYGUARD will play at the Regent Theatre from 24 August. The 2017 Australian tour of THE BODYGUARD will commence at the Sydney Lyric Theatre on 21 April, before playing at the Lyric Theatre, Brisbane from 19 July, then moving to the Regent Theatre, Melbourne.
