Laughing at Lawyers

Sydney lawyer Tony Laumberg has written and produced 13 successful seasons of his unique brand of comic plays. The do-it-yourself theatre maker writes the plays, promotes the shows and even sells the tickets front of house. On the eve of his latest play The Good, The Bad and the Lawyer in Sydney he shared a coffee with David Spicer. 

Tell me your favourite lawyer joke I asked.

“What’s the difference between a lawyer and a laboratory rat? When the laboratory rat dies at least someone cares.”

State Theatre Company of SA Season 2014

Sydney Theatre Company 2014 Season

The Sydney Theatre will be turned back-to-front for a production of Shakespeare’s ‘Scottish Play’ starring Hugo Weaving as part of the Sydney Theatre Company's 2014 season of 16 productions, announced by Artistic Director Andrew Upton today (September 12, 2013).

Appropriately, we media were gathered on the Sydney Theatre stage as Upton introduced his first solo season as STC’s Artistic Directorfrom the auditorium.

Sydney Dance Company in 2014

Sydney Dance Company celebrates its 45th year in 2014 with three World Premiere seasons and an extensive touring program, visiting five of the country’s capitals, in addition to regional centres across Queensland and Western Australia.

The Company will commission eight new works, including two works from Sydney Dance Company Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela, alongside works from Greek choreographer Andonis Foniadakis and Melbourne choreographer Gideon Obarzanek.
