Mack and Mabel Cast Announced

Working Management in association with Hayes Theatre Co has announced the cast of Jerry Herman’s MACK AND MABEL, which will play a strictly limited season at Hayes Theatre Co from November 18. MACK AND MABELis based on the real-life tumultuous romantic relationship between early 1900s legendary filmmaker Mack Sennett and accidental starlet Mabel Normand.

Old Fitz Theatre Season 2017

After two successful years of operation at the intimate 63-seat Old Fitz Theatre, welcoming more than 32,000 people to 65 different shows, Red Line Productions have planned an even bigger season for 2017. Becoming known as a space which sees actors and creatives making brave and exciting choices and creating high-quality theatre, Red Line Productions has programmed ten main stage plays that will require more fearlessness and honesty from artists and audiences.

Glen Street Theatre Season 2017

Glen Street Theatre has announced a diverse 2017 season at their 400-seat theatre located in Belrose on Sydney’s north shore. The theatre will present dramas, comedies, music events, satire and children’s theatre from a variety of arts companies and producers from around the country.

Out From Under 2016

On Monday 21 November, stars of the Australian entertainment industry will come together at the York Theatre, Seymour Centre in response to the issue of mental health within the profession. Tickets are on sale now from Ticketmaster or the Seymour Centre.

Out From Under began in 2015 in Melbourne, and is an evening aimed at removing the stigma surrounding mental health within the entertainment industry by bringing it out of the shadows.

Black Swan Season 2017

After celebrating the company’s 25th birthday in 2016, Black Swan State Theatre Compay (WA) looks to the future, while at the same time as acknowledging those who have made a significant impact on the company, farewelling Artistic Director of nine years Kate Cherry, who has programmed the majority of the 2017 season.

Full Dusty Cast Announced for Melbourne and Adelaide

The Production Company has announced full details of the cast for their new production of DUSTY the musical. DUSTY opens at Arts Centre Melbourne on 12 November to be followed by an Adelaide season opening on 31 December at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

Aladdin for Melbourne

Disney Theatrical Productions has announced that Aladdin will open at Her Majesty’s Theatre in April 2017.

State Theatre Company of SA 2017 Season

State Theatre Company has announced its 2017 season at a launch held at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Adelaide on September 27, 2016.

2017 marks a new direction for the Company, with the formation of the State Theatre Company Ensemble, a group of actors and creatives taking residence at the Company to work on a number of productions in 2017 and 2018.

Musicals in Tandem at 45 Downstairs

Vic Theatre is set to produce two shows at Melbourne’s 45 Downstairs in November and December 2016, The Gathering and The Last Five Years.

This presentation will see two shows play in the same theatre at alternating times.

My Fair Dustman

Australian stage legend Reg Livermore knows classic musical My Fair Lady well, having played Professor Henry Higgins in the most recent Australian revival. Now for the new 60th Anniversary production, directed by Dame Julie Andrews, he steps several rungs down the British class ladder to play dustman Alfred Doolittle. Neil Litchfield reports.

One is a Professor of Linguistics; the other collects the garbage. It’s a delicious switch for Reg Livermore.
