Taste the sensational comedy routines of Louise Beuvink!

Her Australian debut show is here to embrace our shores with her unique feminist-satirical blend of cabaret and stand up. After a complete sell out national tour of her New Zealand homeland, she is assured we will dig her rhythm.

This show is a soda stream blend of fizzy concoctions of domestic and social situations parodying women of all demographics.

Beauvink opens with gestural confidence wearing a fifties party frock and in her patent hot pink high heels she exclaims with gleeful horror as she takes them off, that it’s “….  like shedding your ex boyfriends, they will only hurt you in the end because they will not change.” Her brand of comedy is starkly refreshing and witty.

In our feminist age we can be blind drunk and still pick our future husbands and request sexual rights in the bedroom without being labeled a slut or a whore. Her rendition of  ‘A Spoonful of Sugar’, “Just a spoonful of sugar helps the gentleman go down….” is hilarious. Her teenage emo-crisis, her overeating skit, and beauty therapy sessions are all self-depreciating humoresque scenarios that question her own female anxieties and more.

A true cricket aficionado, Beauvink leads us through the masculine pastime in a slideshow of tampered images that embrace her love of the sport. Ha!

Meticulously directed by Lucy Noonan, with a faux set of kitchen and vanity  (female staples), she has poignantly addressed the paradoxes of Beavink’s comical style.

I highly recommend the show.
