The Naked Magicians

The Naked Magicians
Presented by Brisbane Powerhouse and Samuel Klingner Entertainment Enterprises. Visy Theatre, Brisbane Powerhouse, as part of the Brisbane Comedy Festival. 25th Feb-2nd March, 2014

Starting the Brisbane Comedy Festival with a bang, this harmless X rated

fun-filled party night-out stars handsome Mr Nice-Guy comedians Christopher Wayne and Mike Tyler.

Incorporating audience participation, standard magic tricks spiced up to titillate and amuse and a little innocent sleaze to add dimension and intrigue to their magic act, the dynamic duo include blown-up sex toys, pretty ladies from the audience, disappearing mobile phones, some clever deception, escape jacket, rope and card tricks and enough nudity and 'how-did-they-do-it?' routines to satisfy all of those who were captivated by the promos.

Also impressive is the choice of material, script, ad libs and the ingenious way it is all blended together, including the surprise ending.

Both having a flair for comedy and timing, The Naked Magicians even weave enough magic to transcend the billed hour-long performance into the impression of a double trick of two. Don't check your time devices. You may be surprised. I certainly was; and tickled pink!

A great overture for the festival and, yes, you can take your mother.
