Over the past two years, Australia’s leading teacher of Audition Technique for musical theatre and a musical theatre star herself, Queenie van de Zandt, has regularly brought Australia’s most experienced and respected musical theatre professionals together to lead a series of master classes for emerging performers: The Advanced Audition Technique for Musical Theatre Course.
The course is well known for giving participants a unique opportunity to spend quality time honing their audition repertoire and skills with leading musical theatre directors, choreographers and musical directors, and for the specialist master classes with top producers, agents, publicists, and high profile performers it offers.

Feedback has been overwhelming positive but universally students wanted the course to include a performance opportunity, so in 2012 the course will culminate in a cabaret show, “Queenie and Friends”, where students will perform for invited guests.

Queenie van de Zandt has most recently appeared in Chunky Move’s Assembly for the Sydney Festival. She has been nominated for numerous Helpmann, Sydney Theatre and Green Room awards and has taught at NIDA, the VCA and BAAPA.
