The Addams Family Click Click In Chatswood

North Shore Theatre Company presents The Addams Family: A New Musical at the Zenith Theatre, Chatswood from 15th September to 23rd September, 2023. 

Over recent years, new generations have been introduced to The Addams Family through two blockbuster animated movies and of course through the most recent success of Netflix's series Wednesday. NSTC thought this was the perfect time to introduce the audiences of the North Shore of Sydney to the 2009 Broadway show The Addams Family: A New Musical, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice.

We all know The Addams Family *click click*, but with this musical comes an original story, and it's every father's nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family -- a man her parents have never met. And if that weren't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before -- keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's 'normal' boyfriend and his parents.

NSTC's production features a cast of 30 including leads, ensemble and of course the very important (and more recently invaluable) understudies and swings.

The production team of Kris Sergi as Director, Daniel Baykitch as Musical Director, Co Choreographer/Assistant Director Kate Anthonisz, Co Choreographer Lauren Mackinnon and Assistant MD Jessica Tannous, have worked together to produce a show that will bring the nostalgia of the great 'Addams Family' as well as creating a family-friendly, comedic and heart-warming performance.
