Hail Mary: World Premiere Comedy for Perth

A DAVID versus Goliath story comes to the fore at the Old Mill Theatre in April 2015 as a group of nuns try to save their convent from demolition and being turned into a housing estate.

Written and directed by prolific Perth playwright Noel O’Neill, Hail Mary is an irreverent comedy about some unconventional nuns who discover their Swan Valley convent is to be sold because of its high operating costs.

The Darling Buds of May on Perth Stage

THE TV adaptation shot Catherine Zeta-Jones to fame. Now the stage vrsion comes to Limelight Theatre (WA) this April.

Based on the H.E. Bates novel, The Darling Buds of May was a popular UK television show in the early 1990s focusing on the Larkin family – Pop, Ma and their six children – in Kent during the 1950s.

Pop is a loveable trader-cum-junk dealer who hasn’t paid any taxes, which soon prompts a visit from tax inspector Cedric Charlton.

Ruby Moon: Fairy Tale Whodunit for Perth

Part of the current drama curriculum for Year 11 and 12 students, Australian play Ruby Moon is being brought to life by ARENAarts this autumn.

Written by Matt Cameron and directed by Louise Collins at Belmont’s Latvian Centre Theatre, Ruby Moon starts off like a fairytale and eventually becomes a twisted whodunit set in sinister, contemporary suburbia.
