Musical Addams Family for Chatswood

Musical Addams Family for Chatswood

The Stage Artz Theatre Company will present the NSW Amateur Premiere of The Addams Family – A New Musical at the Zenith Theatre, Chatswood from April 4.

The Addams Family characters, which were created by Charles Addams for a series of single panel cartoons, have since appeared in a succession of television shows and movies.  Now the Addams Family's story continues in this creepy, kooky musical - and it's every parent's nightmare.  Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up… and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family.  If that wasn’t bad enough, she’s invited them all to dinner. The Addams Family musical takes place on one fateful night, as Gomez and Morticia host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.

Written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice (Jersey Boys), and with music by Drama Desk Award winner Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party), this macabre musical is on its way to the Zenith Theatre.

The Addams Family is directed by Samantha Neaves with musical direction by Alex Ash and choreography by Amy Gough.  The production features Scott Clare as Gomez, Elizabeth Macgregor as Morticia, Nicole Winter as Wednesday, Mike Curtin as Uncle Fester, Adam Seeney as Lurch, Miriam Ramsay as Grandma, Harry Alexander as Pugsley, Rhys Evans as Lucas (Wednesday’s boyfriend), Jeremy Curtin & Linda Hale as Mal & Alice (Lucas’s parents), and a cast of Sydney based singers/dancers playing the Addams Family Ghostly Ancestors.

The Addams Family opens at the Zenith Theatre on 4thApril, 2014 and continues until 12thApril.  For more information, go to www.stageartztheatreco.com.au.
