Competing against five other outstanding Semi-Finalists with her performance of Glitter and be Gay andWhen Did I Fall in LoveGeorgina Hopson took out the prestigious award after being chosen by an expert panel of judges, which included Roger Hodgman, Kellie Dickerson, Sharon Millerchip, Michael Tyack, Guy Simpson and Suzanne Jones.

2017 Sydney Theatre Awards

The winners of the 2017 Sydney Theatre Awards were announced on Monday January 22, with 37 Awards presented, shared between 18 productions which played in Sydney during the calendar year of 2017. Over 450 members of the Sydney theatre community packed the Everest Theatre at the Seymour Centre to celebrate the best of Sydney theatre.
