Melbourne Auditions for Child Role in South Pacific.
Opera Australia has announced auditions for the role of Jerome, Emile's son, in the Melbourne season of the Award Winning Lincoln Center Production of Rogers and Hammerstein's South Pacific, which opens in September. The auditions take place this Saturday 21 July.

Please bring a rehearsed song to sing from the repertoire of Rodgers and Hammerstein.

Character: Jerome, Emile’s son
Age: Child role – Age 7 - 9
Gender: Male
Details: Latino, Pacific Islander, Aboriginal, Maori, African-American or multi-ethnic to play the child of a Caucasian father and a Maori mother. Must sing, act and have a comfortable stage presence. Smart child who adores his father.
Vocal requirements: Good singing voice.
