Magic To Do As Pippin Reopens Sydney Lyric

Producers John Frost and Suzanne Jones along with Foundation Theatres and The Star today announced that the Tony Award®-winning hit musical PIPPIN will reopen the Sydney Lyric Theatre at The Star for an exclusive season from 24 November 2020. PIPPIN is full of acrobatics, magical feats and songs from the composer of Wicked.

Brisbane Ring Cycle Rescheduled for 2021

Following Opera Australia’s announcement that the Brisbane Ring Cycle has been postponed to next year due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, new dates have been confirmed for the epic opera season to open in Brisbane from 29 October to 20 November 2021, at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) with three full Ring Cycles and seven performances of OA’s digital production of Verdi’s hugely popular Aida.

Hamilton Tickets and Waitlist

Tickets for the Australian premiere of HAMILTON will go on sale to the general public at 9am (AEST) Tuesday 1 September 2020 via Ticketmaster. Advance priority access is available beginning at 10:00AM (AEST) Monday, 24 August 2020 to those signed up on the waitlist at Hamiltonmusical.com.au.

Live Performance Industry Releases COVID Safe Guidelines

Actors, musicians and crew will be forced to have regular COVID-19 tests, and limit their interaction with people outside of their production when major performance returns to the stage, under guidelines released by Live Performance Australia.

The guidelines cover auditions, rehearsals and performances, as well as touring of live performances.
