Sydney Musicals Paused

Sydney's two major musical productions are expected back on stage this week, after closing their doors to allow time for the city to get on top of the latest outbreak of COVID-19.

It was announced last week that "out of an abundance of caution the Producers of PIPPIN have decided to cancel the scheduled performances on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 December due to the current Covid-19 outbreak in Greater Sydney."

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to Resume Performances 25 February 2021

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will resume performances on 25th February 2021, after a hiatus of 49 weeks. The production suspended a record-breaking run at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre after public health measures were imposed by the government due to COVID 19.

This year’s Alan Edwards Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to actor Kate Foy, or as she is known on stage, Kate Wilson. Wilson has enjoyed a major career as an actor working in theatre in Queensland for La Boite, Twelfth Night, Metro Arts, but mostly Queensland Theatre, where she has appeared in 33 productions as well as writing, directing and teaching for the company.

One Company, Ten Fringe Shows

Griffin Season 2021

Griffin Theatre Company’s Artistic Director Declan Green has announced the company’s 2021 season.
