OPERA EVOLVES IN STATE OPERA SA’S MULTI-VENUE 2016 SEASON

Chief Executive and Artistic Director Timothy Sexton this week released State Opera SA’s program for 2016 and with the fitting theme OPERA. EVOLVE it is clear audiences can expect a hectic and thrilling 40th year celebration. Lesley Reed reports.

Darlinghurst Theatre Company Season 2016

Darlinghurst Theatre Company has unveiled its 2016 season to be staged at the Eternity Playhouse. The season showcases three contemporary Australian works, a revival of a great Australian play, a landmark UK drama and a seminal American comedy.

Guest Artists for 2015 Rob Guest Endowment Concert

The 2015 Rob Guest Endowment Grand Final Concert will be held on Monday 9 November at the Sydney Lyric Theatre. Hosted by Lucy Durack and David Campbell, guest artists performing at the concert will include musical theatre performers Rob Mills and Jemma Rix, Dirty Dancing star Mark Vincent, 2014 Rob Guest Endowment winner Joshua Robson, and cast members from Matilda and Cats.

Matilda The Musical for Melbourne in March 2016

The Royal Shakespeare Company, Louise Withers, Michael Coppel & Michael Watt have announced that Matilda The Musical will commence performances at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre from 13 March 2016 for a strictly limited season.

The winner of over 50 international awards, including 12 for Best Musical, the RSC’s production of Matilda The Musical is currently enjoying a successful season in Sydney, with tickets currently on sale for performances through to 31 January.
