Amahl and the Night Visitors in Adelaide

In excess of half a century is a long time to wait, but at last Adelaide audiences have a chance to enjoy the full glory of Amahl and the Night Visitors, a classic I’m told has not been performed as a fully staged production in South Australia since 1958.

Gian Carlo Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors stands alongside Dicken’s A Christmas Carol as a beloved Christmas story and will be brought to life at the Space Theatre in December by Adelaide producers Emma Knights and Karen Lettice.

2015 OLD FITZ THEATRE SEASON ANNOUNCED

The new artistic management team for the Old Fitz Theatre today announced the first six months programming in the 2015 season. Red Line Productions, run by Sean Hawkins, Andrew Henry and Vanessa Wright, have announced six mainstage plays and four late shows as part one of the season, entitled REINCARNATION.

Sweet Charity Melbourne Dates

For its 90thbirthday year, La Boite Theatre Company has unveiled what it describes as the most culturally diverse 2015 season to grace any stage in the country, ranging from star-studded classics to a story of a Congolese child soldier by one of Australia’s most exciting new playwrights.

Five of the ten writers and directors responsible for its new 2015 Mainhouse productions are women and half of the actors come from non-Anglo backgrounds.
