Blanc de Blanc

Blanc de Blanc
Strut & Fret. Magic Mirror Spiegeltent. Adelaide Fringe. 17th Feb – 17th March, 2017

If you are looking for a show to awaken all the senses, then look no further than Blanc de Blanc. It’s a titillating romp with a French flavour that will leave you begging for more.

Beautiful bodies draped in sequins, lace and corsets set the stage alight, creating an erotic vibe. French arias, mixed with techno beats, pump from the speakers. You have no choice but to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Performers hand-picked from around the world come together in this feast of sexuality. Not for the prudish; naked bodies gyrate and tease, all in the name of their love for champagne.

Incredible feats are performed above the crowd, highlighting strength and agility. Wonderfully immersive characters are offered up by emcee Monsieur Romeo and the cabaret clown Spencer Novich. It is hard to take one’s eyes off Novich; his comic timing and physicality are sublime.

Beware, if you are brave enough to sit ringside; I was showered with champagne, giant bubbles and the odd naked body.

Beautifully executed, this show does not hold back. Stunning lighting only adds to and illuminates the already bright display of talent. Creativity is at an all-time high and it will leave you wanting more.

Cabaret has never been so intoxicating!
