Child actress, pop singer, stand-up, producer, actress, stage director, film and television writer, author of screenwriting textbook, ghost writer of trashy American novels, theatre critic – the list goes on for the many strings in the bow of Coral Drouyn.
The fourth generation in a prominent British showbiz family, she made her film debut at the age of 4 opposite none other than Cary Grant in I Was a Male War Bride. From this not-so-humble beginning, Coral has fulfilled many other roles in show business most famously as the Script Producer/Story Editor for the now-iconic series Prisoner Cell Block H, (the writer who put black gloves back on The Freak and created all characters following). Her knowledge, pragmatic approach and imagination helped resurrect Home and Away placing it back on the top ten shows in Aussie TV, she killed of Maggie Doyle in Blue Heelers and now continues to place her knowing eye as a prominent theatre critic around Melbourne. Born and raised in performing, she is the niece of ‘Allo ‘Allo actor Jack Haig, the Goddaughter of Martha Raye and the ex-wife of actor David Bermingham.
