Star Guests For Musical Theatre Festival

Australian stage and TV stars Rob Mills and Jemma Rix will headline the first ever Australian Musical Theatre Festival in Tasmania.

Rob and Jemma will be the celebrity guests at the festival which will happen in Launceston from 23-26 May this year.

Rob is a household name as a regular on Neighbours and an Australian Idol finalist. His musical theatre career has included lead roles in Jesus Christ Superstar, Ghost the Musical and the original Australian cast of Wicked The Musical.

Jemma is one of Australian musical theatre’s most prominent leading ladies, best known for her portrayal of Elphaba in Wicked The Musical. She also received rave reviews for her performance in The Wizard of Oz and was the Eva Peron Alternate to Tina Arena in Evita.

Rob and Jemma will star in the Sound of Musicals at the Princess Theatre in Launceston on Saturday 25 May, as well as other exciting events.

“Securing Rob and Jemma as the celebrity guests for the first ever Australian Musical Theatre Festival is beyond thrilling,” said Festival Manager Jane Forrest.

The Festival includes a packed program of workshops, masterclasses, performances, events and a Festival Club.
