Tom, Dick and Harry to Tickle Adelaide Funny Bones

As always, Adelaide’s oldest continuously operating community theatre group, the Adelaide Repertory Theatre will end its 2014 season with something to tickle the funny bone. Laughs will definitely be the outcome of the company’s play of choice, as the work flows from the pen of Ray Cooney, a master of farce.

Anyone Can Whistle at Sydney Uni

For those who know it, Sondheim & Laurent’s Anyone Can Whistle is a rare treat for the Australian, let alone, mainstream stage. The musical which originally ran 9 performances on Broadway with Angela Lansbury in the leading role of Cora Hoover Hooper has been seen rarely over the years, especially in Australia. Apart from a one night concert engagement at the Melbourne recital hall, and a recent Bankstown production, it is rarely that theatre-goers get to see this obscure show.

Javeenbah regular Naomi Thompson, who plays Norma, says it’s shaping up to be a great show.

Old-fashioned Farce Promised in Tom, Dick and Harry at Limelight
