Australian Horizons for Darwin

Australian Horizons for Darwin

Darwin Chorale comes together to deliver a night of song showcasing the talent in the NT with their latest production, called Australian Horizons – Songs from the Bush to the Beach, at the Darwin Entertainment Centre Studio Theatre on September 21 and 22.

The show includes iconic ballads and standards from the Australian chorale repertoire.

It will also feature the world premiere of ‘More Than Just a Home’, written by Darwin musician and actor Yoris Wilson.

Audiences will be taken on a journey through the Dreamtime, around the campfire and into the present.

Proud tribute will be paid to our inspiring national soundscape by the 40 strong voices in the Chorale.

They will deliver beautiful harmonies and nostalgic sing-alongs in a patriotic performance that features the music of John Williamson, Graeme Connors, Peter Allen and John Schumann.

Director and MC Terry Annesley will introduce works from national composers and Territorians including Ted Egan, 13 – time Golden guitar winner Sara Storer and Musical Director Nora Lewis.

Guest artists include NT country singer Jackie Izod and bush band ‘Murphy and Friends.’
