CINDERELLA – The Pantomime!
It’s been a whirlwind 8 week rehearsal period for The Regals Musical Society's cast of Cinderella - The Pantomime, opening on Friday November 30th at Bexley RSL (NSW).
With the help of her trusted friend Buttons, a few furry rabbits, and of course the quirky Fairy Godmother (yay!), Cinders comes across a few challenges in the form of her two ugly step sisters, Kath and Kim, and her evil Stepmother (boo!), yet she defeats the odds and gets to the ball on time! But as the clock strikes midnight the spell will end (oh no!) – running from the castle Cinders loses her glass slipper, which the handsome Prince finds. Roaming the village in search of the maiden whose dainty foot fits the slipper perfectly, will the Prince find his true love?!
This original production from The Regals’ will be their fourth show for 2012. Following their more ‘mature’ productions of Love You You’re Perfect Now Change, Sweet Charity andThe Hatpin, Cinderella – The Pantomime has allowed for their younger members to once again hit the stage.
With fun songs such as Shoop Shoop, I’m a Believer, Mother Knows Best, and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, this production features Regals local younger members as well as some familiar faces such as Adelie Battam (Cinderella), James Jonathon (Prince), Ste Casimiro (Kath), and Phoebe Wynne (Stepmother).
Led by new director Kelly Horrigan, with musical direction by Anna van Aaken and choreography by Keely Soulsby, Cinderella - The Pantomime comes just in time for Christmas..
'Cinderella - The Pantomime' will run at Bexley RSL from Friday 30th November to Sunday 9th December 2012.
