Cole Porter Classic Anything Goes Sails into Concord

The time honoured tale of boys meets girl, with complications and mistaken identities, is the basis of many musical comedies, among the best of them Cole Porter’s Anything Goes, which Ashfield Musical Society (NSW) presents from July 13th at Concord RSL.

Set in the early 1930s on board the SS America, the comedy starts as young Billy Crocker (Cameron Anderson) discovers true love with the beautiful heiress Hope Harcourt (Marisa Berzens), and features a second rate gangster disguised as a priest (Derek Ebbs), a sexy revivalist nightclub singer (Fleur Anderson) and an all singing, all dancing cast of 30.
Under the musical direction of Peter Thornton, audiences will enjoy Cole Porter classics such as 'You're The Top', 'Its De-lovely', 'I Get A Kick Out Of You' and the title song, ‘Anything Goes’. Direction is by Robert Chard and choreography by Wendy Twiner.

Anything Goes is on at Concord RSL Club Auditorium, Nullawarra Avenue, Concord West, and opens on Thursday 13th July, and closes Sunday 22nd July. There are matinee and evening performances.

Tickets are $35.00 for Adults and $30.00 for concessions (A reserve), and A and B reserve tickets are available.

Bookings: 9793 1331.
