Watch Out Redcliffe – PICK-POCKETS ABOUT !!

Redcliffe Musical Theatre, a new company based in Redcliffe, Queensland, presents Lionel Bart’s Oliver!at the Redcliffe Cultural Centre August 17-21

From Wednesday August 17^th pickpockets will abound at the Redcliffe Cultural Centre – they are starring in the famous, family-friendly musical – Oliver! Based on the Charles Dickens novel, Oliver! is set in London in the 1850’s and will delight audiences with the array of colourful and grungy characters such as Fagin – the leader of the gang of thieves – who is played by Peter Wright, a local actor of renown from Rothwell.

Also famous are Nancy – the pick-pocket with the heart of gold, Bill Sykes, the murderous thief and of course all of the young thieves in Fagin’s gang – most notably The Artful Dodger who is played by Campbell Hall, a grade 7 student at Scarborough State School.

Oliver! features songs including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, Gotta Pick a Pocket or Two, As Long as He Needs Me and I’d Do Anything to name but a few.
