St Trinian’s Musical Romp for Redcliffe Stage

St Trinian’s Musical Romp for Redcliffe Stage

St Trinian's, the fictional girls’ school created by English cartoonist RonaldSearle in 1941, best remembered through a popular series of comedy films, is also the basis for David Barrett musical comedy, which will be presented by Mousetrap Theatre Company (Redcliffe, Queensland) from May 10 – 25.

Saint Trinian's, Saint Trinian's your buildings stand so bold,

Saint Trinian's, Saint Trinian's your story must be told.

Saint Trinian's, Saint Trinian's you weave a powerful spell,

For stranger far than fiction is the truth these walls could tell.

Set in a gothic style posh girls' boarding school, St Trinian’s is a fantastic location for adventure & excitement. The spoilt little rich kids with far too much unsupervised time allow the upper third pupils to form a secret club in the woods. The girls’ vibrant lovable personalities, tarnished by wicked and often well-armed antics of mayhem, promise to provoke laughter. The school teachers are too busy keeping their own secrets to find the time to mentor the students which gives the girls full run of the school. Kidnapping, food fights, bullies and a treasure hunt are all part of this production, complete with traditional school style organ accompaniment.
