Sydney Season of Frozen Postponed

Sydney Season of Frozen Postponed

Disney Theatrical Productions Australia has announced that "due to the COVID-19 situation globally, and in line with all current restrictions and advice from the Federal and State Governments, we have had to make the decision to postpone Frozen the Musical at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney until 1 December, 2020."

"Impacted customers have received an email (or will receive a phone call if no email was provided at purchase) explaining the process for transferring their tickets into a new performance and how to get a refund if required."

"If you purchased tickets online and haven’t received an email by Monday 18 May, please check your junk/spam folder.  If you are still having issues, please click on the link here and a Ticketmaster representative will contact you directly."

"We thank you for your patience and understanding and look forward to welcoming you back to the theatre, to share our beautiful production with you, at a time when we can be together again."

"For now, please stay safe in your kingdoms of isolation."

Meanwhile on Broadway Disney has announced that it will not re-open its season of Frozen. The musical closed in March.

“The extraordinary contribution of Broadway's original company plus those who have joined more recently cannot be overstated," said Disney Theatrical Productions President Thomas Schumacher a statement.

"Frozen, like all shows, is wholly dependent on those who create and perform them but this was an uncommonly close and talented group and they’ll be missed. Finally, I have to acknowledge our incredible audiences; night after night, the fans showed us how much they loved this show and we look forward to seeing them at Frozen around the world."
