SYNOPSIS

“Tons Of Money” tells the story of Aubrey, an unsuccessful inventor who is deep in debt. He stands to inherit a large fortune, but he’ll see none of it because his creditors would claim it all. However, if Aubrey should die, the money would revert to his cousin George, from Mexico. Because cousin George’s whereabouts are unknown, and thought to have died, Aubrey’s wife, Louise, suggests faking Aubrey’s death so that he can resurrect himself as his cousin George! He can then collect the money and avoid paying the creditors. But meanwhile, Sprules, the family butler, has got wind of the plot, and seeks to cash in by arranging for his brother, Henery, to also impersonate cousin George. Complications and arise with the arrival of George’s wife, and the very-much-alive real cousin George!
