Bernie Dieter’s Berlin Underground

Bernie Dieter’s Berlin Underground has taken over a secret location at Crown Perth, to present a sexy, debauched kabarett, with great singing, amazing circus and a load of comedy.

Bernie managed to leave Berlin for Melbourne just before borders were closed, spent months in lockdown in Victoria, and has endured the mandatary hotel isolation, to bring this magnificent production to Perth audiences. The best themed cabaret I have ever seen (with the theming continuing into the rest-rooms), months on her own has not dimmed Bernie Dieter’s wit and timing or her ability to hold an audience’s rapt attention, as she hosts and sings through this clever and campy cabaret.

Bernie’s singing and witty repartee is supported by a fabulous team of circus style performers. Jarred Dewey, embracing some great 30s style looks, performs some impossibly complex contortion and thrilling trapeze, Reuben Dot Dot Dot charms the audience while impressing with hand balance, Lisa Lotte (last seen in Perth in La Soiree) has one of the best hoops acts you will ever see, the gorgeous Ruby Lai performs spectacular feats on a pole (in amazing shoes), and drag queen Scarlet Adams entertains with a well timed strip-tease.

A great atmosphere and a wonderfully immersive performance, while perhaps not suitable for your maiden aunt, this is a must see for lovers of cirque and dark cabaret.
