Clue On Stage, High School Edition
Adapted from the screenplay by Johnathan Lynn. Trinity College, Perth. Directed by Abi Acton. Gibney Hall, Trinity College, Perth, WA. Apr 30 - May 2, 2026
Trinity College’s Clue On Stage, High School Edition was a polished and slick production with high production values and a young cast with talent and excellent rapport. Based on the board game called Cluedo in Australia, it features many familiar characters.

Playing on a multilevel set, using the existing stage and risers on the floor, the two-storey design allowed the cast to move swiftly from room to room, keeping the pace up and the action moving. Costuming was well chosen for character and color, although Mrs Peacock was in navy rather than peacock blue. Lighting and sound design by CTBLX Design, Richard Timms and Campbell Herbert was well attuned to the movement of the play. Front of House was expertly decorated and eased us into the world of the play.
The cast of eleven featured three “borrowed" young ladies and eight Trinity men, with a rotating guest cast of Singing/Dancing Telegram performers (Oli Nicoletto being very good).
Jimmy Jurjevich led the cast in the central role of Wadsworth. A performer with considerable experience, he was confident in this quite over-the top role, embracing the slightly overplayed, campy style. Bailey Thomas was a strong Professor Plum, Ned Sergeant embraced the humor of the “no so bright” Colonel Mustard, while Derell Corunna had great charm as Mr Green.
Lovely work from the ladies, with Siena D’Angelo creating a coquettish Miss Scarlet (while remaining age appropriate), Charlotte Cavallaro embracing the darkness of Mrs White, and Amélie Conti bringing maturity to the very challenging role of Mrs Peacock.
In smaller roles Ethan Wolfe brought French panache to Jean-Pierre, Henry Bennetts brought great physicality to Mr Boddy, while Dexter Pereira was impressive as The Cook. Robin Buxton doubled the roles of the Chief of Police and the Motorist with great style.

Easily one of the best school plays this year, and a lovely community feel surrounding the production, Trinity should be very proud of Clue.
