Ben Lewis Go Fund Me Campaign
Statement from the family of Ben Lewis.
"It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Ben, who left us peacefully on October 6th, with his wife, Melle, by his side. Ben was deeply loved and admired — kind, witty, full of integrity, and full of heart.
He lived with cancer with extraordinary courage, grace, and even gratitude despite the challenges he endured. His warmth, humour, and goodness touched countless lives, and his memory will remain forever with us.
As will his voice, and artistry. How lucky we are to have heard that soaring, beautiful sound. We are heartbroken, yet deeply grateful for the love, generosity, and support shown by so many. Your kindness and the donations made to Ben’s campaign have brought immense comfort and strength during this difficult time.
For those who wish to leave a tribute, a memory or a photo or video, please visit Ben’s online memorial site: online-tribute.com/BenLewis Though neither Ben or Melle were on social media and both valued their privacy, your messages and memories will be touching and deeply meaningful to read in time for Melle and our family."

A Go Fund Me campaign has been launched for actor-singer Ben Lewis who sadly has incurable cancer.
We were proud to have Ben on the cover our magazine in 2011 and urge the theatre community to assist where they can.
"In February last year, our beloved Ben was diagnosed with bowel cancer. He had no symptoms but by the time it was discovered, the cancer had already spread to his lymph nodes and liver. Following major surgery to remove the primary tumour, he began intensive chemotherapy treatment. Despite his strength and determination, the cancer has proved to be quite aggressive and resistant to the chemotherapy drugs. Liver surgery followed and more chemotherapy but sadly the cancer has continued to spread. In April this year, scans revealed tumours in the liver, lungs and pelvis, too many to remove surgically or treat with radiation. Ben’s cancer is now considered incurable."
