Dark Mofo Announces 2026 Dates

The organisers of Dark Mofo, Australia's mid-winter solstice festival, have confirmed that the 2026 edition will be held in Lutruwita/Tasmania from Thursday 11 to Monday 22 June.

Alongside the festival’s large-scale public art installations, live performances and exclusive musical acts, Dark Mofo 2026 will include familiar rituals: Winter Feast, Night Mass, the Ogoh-Ogoh burning and the Nude Solstice Swim as the sun rises after the longest night of the year.

After putting his career on hold for more than a decade to rebuild his life following a devastating brain injury, Melbourne-based theatre producer and actor Ross Larkin is finally set to achieve a milestone many thought impossible: producing and starring in the Australian premiere of Jonathan Tolins’ acclaimed play The Last Sunday in June.

Little Anastasia Cast Members Revealed

Producers of the musical ANASTASIA have revealed the talented young Melbourne performers who will be sharing the role of Little Anastasia in the musical, opening in December at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre.

Monopoly: The Unauthorised Musical Premieres in Perth

Something unusual is happening in sleepy Perth, WA: within the space of a month, 3 new original musicals are being debuted. Alongside WAAPA's Tivoli Lovely and Rod Christian's Mates: A New Musical premieres the quirky Monopoly: The Unauthorised Musical, the brainchild of Perth creatives Jasper Cruden and Ian Tassicker under the banner of their new production company: Roundhouse Theatrical Co.

Buckets of Love

Entertainment Assist – a national charity focusing on the mental health and wellbeing of the entertainment industry – is running a fundraising initiative - raising money to provide free education programs for the industry, supporting mental health challenges.

The Buckets of Love program will take place across the weekend of 9-12 October in theatres across Australia, to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Month.

Craig McLachlan Withdraws from Cluedo

Actor Craig McLachlan has withdrawn from the cast of Cluedo due to a social media backlash against him and the cast of the new production. 

Crossroads Live announced last week that he would play the role of Colonel Mustard in a national tour. 

Other actors and creatives in the production were reportedly unaware that he had been cast in the season.
