For over sixty years, CLOC Musical Theatre has dazzled Melbourne audiences with visually breathtaking productions. From glittering sequins to towering sets, every detail is crafted with passion, precision and artistry.
A dedicated army of volunteers stitch, sew and bead year-round. They transform sketches into stunning gowns, tailoring functional yet stylish ensembles, and designing headwear that’s as elaborate as it is theatrical.
Step inside The Nancy, CLOC’s Costume Centre, and you’ll discover a treasure trove of more than 14,000 costumes spanning nearly 120 productions. Walking its aisles feels like wandering through centuries of theatre and memory.
Schools, theatre companies, and community groups across Australia are bringing their own productions to life with help from CLOC’s wardrobe. From single showstoppers to entire costume sets, thousands of pieces are available at affordable hire rates.
Complete wardrobes are ready for classics such as Singin’ in the Rain, 42nd Street, Chicago, A Chorus Line, Les Misérables and Into the Woods, right through to modern blockbusters like Wicked, Legally Blonde, Kinky Boots, Catch Me If You Can, Priscilla, Strictly Ballroom, Billy Elliot and the newest addition to the collection, &Juliet

Miranda Musical Theatre Company – Hire Department
For more than 20 years, Miranda Musical Theatre Company (MMTC) has built one of the strongest hire departments in Sydney community theatre. Its set and property hire was established by Bob Peet — one of the sector’s most respected set designers — and further developed with his brother Colin, both members of the Association of Community Theatre Hall of Fame.
The brothers have built a remarkable collection of sets and props, while also mentoring new generations of designers and builders. In addition to its existing stock, MMTC can build to a supplied design or plan.
Alongside this, MMTC has developed a significant costume collection. It can outfit entire ensembles with jackets, dresses, uniforms, and period pieces spanning many eras. Specialist costumes from shows such as Catch Me If You Can and The Addams Family are part of this resource, offering schools, theatre groups, and community organisations access to high-quality costuming without the need to build from scratch.
Most recently, MMTC has acquired the complete Mary Poppins set from Melbourne’s CLOC Musical Theatre. This magnificent set is now available for hire in Sydney and across Australia.
