Rockdale Opera Company 70th Anniversary Gala
On Sunday November 18th at 4pm, Rockdale Opera Company’s 70th Anniversary celebrations will culminate in a star studded Gala Concert at Rockdale Town Hall.
The Gala will be a celebration of the music performed by the company over the past seven decades, with favourites from opera, operetta and Gilbert and Sullivan performed by an impressive line-up of Rockdale Opera Company alumni.
Headlining the Gala will be international opera stars José Carbó, Barry Ryan OAM and John Bolton Wood AM.
They will be joined by Opera Australia performer Lisa Cooper and SBS presenter and singer, Silvia Colloca.
Compering the Gala will be Silvio Rivier (SBS presenter and ROC alumni) and, the concert will be accompanied by associate artists Ingrid Sakurovs and Harrison Collins. The Gala will also feature a Palm Court Orchestra under the baton of Rod Mounjed.
In addition, the gala will feature Gerard Atkinson, Megan Chalmers, Jermaine Chau, Gordon Costello, Rik Dawson, Jeremy Dubé, Rachael Fullston, Michael Handy, Jessica Harper, Rebecca Hart, Georgia Kokkoris, Samanta Lestavel, John Morrison, Lisa Munckton, Kate Wilmot, Camilla Wright, Daniel Verschuer, John de Voy and Michaella Zhang.
This concert is the culmination of Sydney’s oldest opera company’s 70th Anniversary. Where else could you hear these international operatic stars, along with Sydney’s up and coming operatic stars in one place at such a reasonable price?
