HEATHERS The Musical

The Mitchell Old Company presents HEATHERS The Musical, a high-energy immersive theatre experience based on the cult classic film of the same name that will have a limited season at ARA Darling Quarter Theatre, sydney from 8 February to 5 March 2022.  

The Who’s Tommy Premieres in February 2022

Victorian Opera is finally set to stage The Who’s Tommy from 22 February – 1 March 2022 at the Palais Theatre, St Kilda.

Victorian Opera’s CEO Elizabeth Hill-Cooper notes: “Hit rock musical The Who’s Tommy finally makes its long-awaited Australian premiere at the iconic Palais Theatre in February 2022. From what we witnessed during our original rehearsal period earlier this year, our production is going to be epic!”

Cruel Intentions Musical Australian Premiere

David Venn Enterprises (The Wedding Singer, Bring It On: The Musical) will present the Australian professional premiere of Cruel Intentions: The ‘90s Musical, based on the 1999 cult classic film of the same name.

2022 Adelaide Fringe Program and Ambassadors Announced

Adelaide Fringe has launched its program of events for the 2022 season.

Tickets are now on sale for over 1000 events across over 350 venues, which will showcase the biggest festival in the Southern Hemisphere over South Australia for 31 days and nights during February and March.

Lights Dimmed for Bert Newton

Melbourne’s theatres honoured the legendary Bert Newton AM MBE on Thursday 11 November by dimming the lights of East End District theatres for one minute at 7.30pm.

His state funeral is being held at 10am on Friday 12 November and it is being broadcast on the ABC news channel.

In the Arms of Morpheus for Fringe World 2022

In the Arms of Morpheus, ARC Circus's newest work, will be performed as part of Perth’s Fringe World festival in January / February 2022.

In the Arms of Morpheus is directed and performed by Robbie Curtis who has worked extensively internationally for the last 15 years with Cirque Du Soleil, Australian Ballet, Circa, Circus Oz, Legs on the Wall and more. It has been supported by Cluster Arts, City of Gold Coast, Home of the Arts, Aerial Angels and Kotb.

Little Women for Melbourne

Fresh out of lockdown, new Melbourne-based production company Theatrical will stage their inaugural production of Little Women the Broadway Musical at Chapel Off Chapel from November 19 – 28. The Production, originally scheduled for October, is going forward despite three lockdown interruptions.
